Catwalk Conversions: Ebay style.

So here's a mixture. It's kinda like my catwalk conventions but i ebay-fied it. They are also items that i am currently watching. I've also given you the link's, you might like one of the three.

Everyone's talking about investment coats, which is great! But what if you don't have the money to invest in the first place?? Well I say ebay! The array of coats i've got from ebay at cheap prices will surprise you. Anyway this is a great coat from a seller on ebay called Cotton-Love, it's camel its got that thick looking outer material, perfect if you like Chloe or wanted an investment coat. Oh and the price? The current bid is at £12.95 :) The bid ends on the 3rd of November at 7pm.

This Topshop dress isn't all that recent, but I still want it! The first time i saw the dress i was brought back to McQueen's Fall line immediately. I really saw Topshop's inspiration! It's a cool design and its current bid is £1.20 and it ends at 6:15pm tomorrow.

Finally, florals for autumn, groundbreaking? Yes, that was very cheesy of me adapting a devil wears Prada line. Lets just ignore my wit and move on swiftly :) To be honest when I saw all the ebay items i really was brought back to these designers, I didn't need to do any research, i just knew. So here with the ASOS lilac floral dress, you have the small floral print on the far right dress with the colour from the middle dress and the flowey, ruffly effect that just gives off a sense of "we're going to have tea at the Laduree in Harrods". This lovely dress's current bid is of £0.99, the bidding ends on the 1st of November at 7:20pm.

Handbook./ Editorial Love

So I recently got a job working at a Coffee Shop, oh yeah! Me, Abimarvel has her first job.

Anyway! Because of this not only am I experiencing the fast paced working environment which is so fun so far, I have landed myself with some money.

Meaning I get to spend a little more on things, now I haven't quite bought anything yet, but one thing I will be buying, The Teen Vogue Handbook! If you don't know what I'm talking about check this out!

It's just what I needed and it's not a ridiculous price. £14.00

Also Teen Vogue's latest edition has an awesome editorial featuring the beautiful Chanel Iman and Jourdan Dunn, it really is just something, the cover.

Right now, Chanel is one of my favourite models and to be honest Jourdan is a great model.

I've read a lot of articles where people are giving her stick about the pregnancy but she's doing a great job and it's her life, so you go girl :)

In terms of Chanel, I just love the random things she does at Teen Vogue and how well of a name she has made herself in the industry. It's quite inspiring.

I am loving the latest Interview cover, now i've never really noticed Kristin's style and when I did I wasn't exactly inspired, but I like this spread, I think the images where she's wearing heels she looks a little awkward, but I still love the pictures. AND for the first time, since she started sporting this hair, I like it! The stylists have done an awesome job.

I went on a retreat with school and had no internet on this trip and so here I am back!

So i'll get right into the trend spotting this week, but todays post will be a mini catch up on whats going on and a few things i wanna do this autumn/ winter term.

*Get a job! The experience would be super.

*Staying way on top of school work.

*Confirm university choices and applications.

But i'm guessing my mini to-do list is quite similar, maybe tot hose of my age, right about now.

Album to get right now! Paramore's new album Brand New Eyes" it's sounding different, in that I haven't heard any really extreme anthemic songs, its all mellow, at least for paramore it is. Still sounds good, so i'd get that!

YAY! It is official, two of my favourite shows of the season..

here we go!

Basso and Brooke

Here we go, Basso and Brooke. Simply amazing designers, who have created an unbelievable collection of colour. I am seriously in love with it! It is really hard to pick a favourite, maybe even harder than it was picking for Erdem!!!

I do love the first multicoloured suit, however I am going to go with the dress two pictures down from it. For some funny reason the colours in the way that they are positioned reminded me of a missoni design. Well I love how fitted the whole top is then the skirt part possessing some volume, a little like that dress beyonce wore to the VMA's though I wasn't feeling that one very much, anyway very nice collection.

Totally impressed.

Burberry Prorsum

The last of the women's fashion I am blogging! At they definitely left one of the best till the last day!

I love trench coats, I love the colour palettes, those light mint green the pastel lilacs the dusty blues and the creamy yellows! The ruched fabric's and the where the fabric has been pulled or stretched all look very sophisticated and very wearable.

Now, my favourite ? Well I genuinely love the lilac trench coat with the slightly pouffy sleeves and shortened arms and would have gone for that one, but I feel sparkly metallic like dusty blue dress (top picture, 1st image in the 2nd row) Also a similiar outfit in the top row was modified and Emma Watson wore it in a nice yellow gold colour, to the show.

All in all, I loved the show without a doubt, and was a great way for me to finish off blogging on up to date LFW shows. Can't wait til February.

However tomorrow I will be talking about what trends emerged from the London Catwalks and what you might wanna wear in those spring/summer months. Then i'll get right back on track with the daily stuff.

ERDEM!

So far,all I can find is Erdem's collection, however as soon as I find Basso and Brooke and Burberry Prorsom's i'll be sure to put them up.

Erdem Moralioglu is definitely one of my favourite designers right now! Him and Matthew Williamson, so high up on my list!

With that in mind, I (as always) fell in love with his florals, the jumpsuits and flaps here and there.

Okay, are you ready for my favourite outfit? Well, I can't decide! I'm just kidding! I'll totally try and pick one, though his whole collection is designed to perfection.

Right my favourite piece is the 3rd image to the right. Simple jumpsuit, signature Erdem florals. Couldn't ask for much more. BTW the black and white design, doesn't kind of remind you of Alexander McQueen Spring 2009 RTW? A little?

Today during my free time has been spent listening to "Drumming Song" by Florence and the Machine. Very nice tune.

Well, let's get right to it.

Today I have got a few other school related things to do, so I'll just state my favourite pieces unless there is something I really must say.

Nice collection, I liked the spots and in general the different cuts and patterns. The heart cut outs on the chest of some of the dresses were adorable! I'm sure I'll see it in a Teen Vogue editorial sooner or later!

Favourite overall outfit? Furry like, whit and black polka dot dress.

Before I even start. Jenny Shimizu, looks incredible.

Yes, call me what you like! But I am one of "those" girls who are really feeling Christopher's Kane's work right now, so I was really looking forward to seeing his collection. My thoughts? It's not bad at all, but I feel like I wanted more. What exactly, maybe some more intricately cut dresses and few graphics here and there? No? Nonetheless still a nicely done collection.

Favourite overall outfit? I'm a little bias to the suite that Jenny is wearing, so to stay neutral I'm gonna go with the outfit directly underneath. I love the cut outs on the top and the slits on the skirt, but in general the blue looks great throughout.

Let me just tell you my favourite outfit right now! It is the 2nd across on the top row. Hmm, you guessed? Maybe it's got something to do with me liking leggings and trousers with cool designs on them that stand out in a really cool, new light.

So I was expecting pieces like the purple suit, so I wasn't disappointed in terms of those at all! The blue denim-like material body suit looks very cute too. The pink sleeveless shirt dress was okay, but those pieces simply supported the others, they obviously weren't stand out items, which kept a sense of symmetry.

A fine collection don't you think. I was pleasantly surprised. Great stuff! Really.

Favourite overall outfit? Okay there are 3 items! 1) The golden/bronze shiny blazer. 2) 3rd picture in the bottom row. The blouse with a nice neckline and sleeves that gradually widened. 3) Lastly the wide white trousers.

I am a sucker for all things preppy. Give me a tweed blazer, a yellow cardigan and a nice vintage pair of brogues and I'm set. So my love of this collection should come as no surprise to you all. I thought it interesting, the hooped like neck accessory.

The male looking blazers with precise and structured shoulders look great! So my favourite? Well the 3rd outfit on the top row. (far right) I am loving that jacket blazer with the cute little belt and nice tweedness underneath. Yes i totally just made that name up :)

Generally speaking it is a very wearable and nice collection. Not much else to say really. My favourite piece is that short jumpsuit in that dark khaki colour but I happen to love the leather and denim jackets too.

Cool collection, that I'll end on. My favourite is the 2nd to last picture with the light peachy pink one sleeved blouse with the nice black skirt.

LFW - Day 3 : Carrying on..

A good day. My favourites, Matthew Williamson (go figure !), Nicole Farhi and Antonio Berardi.

So I'll start with Nicole Farhi. In case you guys didn't know, my favourite colour is green. The shirt and skirt are perfection as far as i am concerned. Just lovely. The rest..not bad at all, i thought the multi-coloured items were very cute. I really liked the relaxed, slouchy feel it was giving out. Great items for summer: That blue and white stripped slouchy top and the light beige, camel -like coloured shirt with the belt, very nice, you've got the rolled up sleeves just simply great.

Favourite overall outfit? The multi-coloured jumpsuit (I'm pretty sure its shorts at the bottom)

I've only heard about this designer quite recently. I love the outfits Megan Fox and Amanda Seyfried have worn by him. This collection is quite impressive. You can see that he takes pride in structure, also in this collection he has emphasized the hips on a women by just making the bottom parts of the dresses wider and full of volume. Favourite overall outfit? In the first picture, the cream suit. The flap on the skirt is so chic and I think he may become know for those rounded parts in his collections.

If I said that I got carried away trying to pick the best outfits from this collection, I would kind of be lying. Carried away can't even express how excited I was when I saw this collection.

I need to say Matthew Williamson has done well, now if you read my blog often you know I love his stuff, oh that Magenta Suit will never leave my mind! But seriously, if i had an official designer ranking, he'd be pretty high up there :)

Okay, so to be honest, I don't know where to start or what to say. Well, the suits. He is a great designer of suits and this midnight blue geometric designed one is a great example of how great they look. The bright dress next to the suit is very cool, when I look at it, for some reason I get this sort of ethnic vibe. (shrugs shoulders) I dunno, i guess the colours and their placements create that sort of element.

Those bronze/copper coloured shorts are quite striking and I'm sure would be the perfect way to start any outfit.

I'm loving the shapes within the patterns and the mixtures and rendering that the colours are doing on some of the dresses. The bag that the girl with the swim-suit is wearing looks nice (below is a zoom in shot of it).

The ruched chiffon on the finale dress is so rich and fine, I hope I see someone where it at an event in the near future.

Favourite overall outfit? Wow! This is hard, but I gotta choose one, so that one is the dress on the left to the rushed chiffon finale. Oh the embellishments are outrageously cool. The way the colour renders in the shoulders is just exquisite. I love the actual pattern of the dress and I would love to wear that, and isn't that what it's all about?

LFW - Day 2 (super excited!)

So sorry! I began blogging yesterday but had to change some of the layout, then it got really late!
But moving on, I am genuinely excited to show you my favourite pieces from the shows on saturday, sunday and I should have some of today later on!

Saturday.

Ashish's collection was great, very simple ideas in terms of form and structure, but more than compensated that with his colours, glitter and shine !

Really great and I surprising liked the combinations with nike.

Favourite overall outfit? Hmm, has to be the ice-cream top with the spiky denim jacket.

First thought before even the clothes. Was that a size 12/14 model I saw? (Double-takes) VERY! impressed, later on after looking at the show's pictures I saw the article on vogue.com simply saying how he decided to use some models of that size, and how 2 members of the creative team resigned, i mean really? Jeez.

Now clothes, the colour palette of the whole show was very nice and sweet, i liked the feathery skirts and the architectural take to some of the dresses were very cool.

Favourite overall outfit? The body conscious architectural themed black dress on the extremely beautiful model.
Right, this was an interesting collection for me to look at, I was intrigued with some of it's volume, but here are 3 pieces i really liked. Random, but i loved the background, it totally compliments the clothes and their colours. Again another simple structured show, however he had the occasional anomaly like the first image on the left, which was a little out there but still has that controlled look to it.

Favourite overall outfit? Ooo, the middle outfit the skirt just brings colour like no other to a very very simple outfit. It's wearable and pretty chic.
PPQ's collection was nice. Yup, it was nice, it wasn't bad, but i wasn't blown away! They had some pieces that I would definitely buy, but I'm sorry to say it wasn't the most memorable of shows.

Favourite overall outfit? I'm gonna mix the cool printed trousers with the white and black top that has the angular look to it in the front, with the frilly border.

LFW - Day 2 (late blogging)

So if you've been following my blog for a little while you'll know that I had an interview with Blow PR this year but it was unsuccessful due to my age, anyway one of the main reasons I applied there was because I genuinely liked the designers they represented!

You may have heard of some - Bora Aksu, Aminaka Wilmont, Ashish, ring a bell at all?

Well a lot of stars are flocking to their shows, earlier this year VV Brown the upcoming singer modeled and performed at the Ashish show, Sarah Harding from girls aloud attended a book launch in Aminaka and Wilmont last year, so they are very respectable and known designers.

Moving on, below I have (like i always do) provided you guys with my favourite outfits or just the ones that caught my eye, from the shows of Bora Aksu and Aminaka Wilmont. Ashish's show was at 5:30 today, so I won't have pictures til tomorrow!

My favourite show of the day that I had access to the catwalk photo's of is John Rocha, I absolutely loved the colour palette and the ruffles.

The "hats" he had them wear, were interesting adornments to the outfits.

So overall a very nice spring summer collection and i will be sure to bring out those pastel colours and ruffles.

So I'm sure that some (probably more) of you know that today was the kick off to London Fashion Week. Sadly I'm not attending this year, but I'm gonna try and give as much coverage as i can, it might not be a lot, but you get my witty commentary to make up :)

At the moment my only source is the LFW website, I will simply show you my favourite pieces from Paul Costelloe's Spring Summer 2010 line. I can't say i know much about this designer, but the selected pieces shown below i feel are the best in his s how, which you can find in full here.

I know that as time grows people tend to become more and more talented but i have to say I have been blown away with a lot of editorials over the past 2 months across all fashion magazines. Now i don't usually buy Marie Claire but this month, HELLO! It looks amazing thanks to their cover girls Drew Barrymore and Ellen Page.

Wearing clothes ranging from 3.1 Philip Lim to Prada to American Apparel to Alexander McQueen. Simply my favourite editorial of the month. For exact clothes credits click here

My favourite? Ever so slightly, and ironically ( the one with minimal clothes) the picture of Drew with the Flower.

Today is Lady GaGa, i think we all watched the VMA's yes?

Combining live performances with editorials and photo-shoots, you can see that her style is obviously ever changing, but occasionally you can see little motifs that are repeated... shiny materials, spiky materials etc..

I know, i know!
It's been MIA. I was going to like 2 days ago, it just didn't happen.
Well anyway the heat in Florida is not too bad and all the places I've been to have air conditioning so I'm just chilling!
So far its been shopping! Urban Outfitters had some cool shoes for $20 that i got and leggings for $5, its so darn crazy over here!
I'll upload pictures when i get back.
Yesterday i realized i didn't leave a voice mail stating that i would be away, which means that all the company's i applied would just be calling voice mail. That's not good.

Well i better go now, its 9:50 in the morning and today is gonna be filled with all sorts, from going to target to sliding down slides in wet n wild then standing in weird amazement in Ripley's Believe it or not.

I'm sure all of your summers are going swimmingly.

So tomorrow I will on my way to Gatwick for my super cool trip to Florida, now I know America has internet, but i may be having too much fun, but then again I love this blog!!

So right now I'm thinking I can use the internet lounge area in the hotel and keep you guys updated,, yes?

Tomorrow morning I have another interview, but this one is for a Store Manager, I doubt the guy actually read all my CV. Cause a Store manager isn't exactly 17 year old material people think, me? I see it as a cool challenge.

We'll see. It usually goes like this:

*my fashion interests, why am I suitable

*great we'll like to either hire you/ take you to the next step

* ohh you're 17, we didn't realize. So sorry.

* Me, walking out feeling kinda down :(

But you never know, this job could be the one!!

Catwalk Conversions

Here is the first edition of Catwalk Conversions. So we have the Balmain and Topshop Blazer, now both blazers have a two tone effect, difference is that the shiny part on the Balmain's in on the collar whereas Topshop's is on the sleeves. Personally i prefer the collar, but Topshop's is very good for the price, especially if you really want the more expensive version. Also you have the squared shoulders that are like the main motif in the Balmain collection, which appears on both blazers.

Beneath are the fitted grey dresses. Again i prefer the designer version, but FCUK's is great value for money in comparison and though the bottom of the dress isn't as fitted, i feel it makes up for that with the added sleeves, which coincidentally have also been a part of the Victoria Beckham's line.

Literally, I pick a high street store and go craazy and pick a full outfit for any sort of event or place (I choose, or through suggestions) then show you and the prices in a nice editorial like format!

So I have finally given my blog a cool little makeover. It looks cool on Safari and Mozilla, however internet explorer displays it in a way that makes everything look like it’s been raised up, and so most of my header is covered. Now it doesn’t look crazy bad, but I will see what I can do. If it doesn’t change, see it as a change and please accept it the way that I will come to, OR change to safari or Mozilla :):)

Moving on I literally have spent the past 3 days working on this blog so I haven't done much else, I bet you're all thinking, it looks pretty basic, but it wasn't. But I think (besides the whole internet explorer debacle) it has come out pretty nice and simple.

That’s all from me, for now! I'll try and do more stuff and research now, so that the intriguing posts may return.

Ooo!! Now that I think of it when it came to University subjects I knew it would be business studies orientated or English, so for a while I thought I’d be studying marketing and the subject still intrigues me and I will be applying to a couple of Uni's that do a marketing course that I like, however I thought I’d some research into marketing, since I’m writing my personal statement for my application and I found that it wasn't exactly A) What I thought it was, leading it to B) Not the most interesting part of the business I like.
Though I think it’s cool and would love to study it, I think now my definite choice of subject is Public Relations. The thing that gets me the most is that, I’ve applied for internships and loads of PR agencies yet I still thought marketing was what I wanted to study, yes! I was confused, but it's all settled now. However there are not a lot of Uni’s that I like that do this subject, hence the mix with marketing I shall be making in my applications and because they're so similar I don't see this being a problem whatsoever.

Ever since I saw the Diane Von Fürstenberg Fall 2009 show (of course on TV)

i've been in love with these hats. It cost £170 and today I actually felt it

(I almost hugged it, yes bridging on pathetic!) and it was just incredible.
But I can't spend that on a hat, so i will see if i can make a similar one!!

I'll tell you how that goes :)

She is definitely one of my Style Icons. Wait. I've never really thought about my style icons. Hmm, I will and post on that!

This blog is all about me discovering and deepening my knowledge in/of fashion and heres an example of a situation thats gonna make me think.

Now that I'm talking about that, the reasons behind the blog, I just want to say thank you to those who read it, and for those to come, this blog is a journey of me, growing, be it in fashion, art, music or just regular things.

I'm 17! So its gonna be entertaining & fun, I know certain things i like, but i don't think that i've developed a signature style yet. But I'm getting there and thats what makes this whole process so fun.

So for me, I've never seen a concert ticket thats less than £30 and then to get a call from my bud Abi telling me that Mr.Hudson is is £14 and the Veronica's are £13.50 I was rendered speechless in a pool of astonishment (to say the least) yeah yea, some of you might be thinking, Abi, it's always been like this, but I'm kinda new to the whole concert vibe, i've always seen it as a really expensive excuse to be so far from the band that you might as well watch it on TV. I know I'm wrong, KOL proved that!

Well the point is i wanna go to both, one is at the KOKO and the other in Birmingham, so i'll be asking my parents, after all I'm still 17! A kid in their eyes :)

Right, so today i've been planning for a nice day in london tomorrow! I'll tell you guys all about it after it has happened.

I bought Mr. Hudson and The Library and Esmee Denters album's today.

Both very good and obv. very different.

I know I still haven't' changed my title! Just give me some time, i'll be done soon.

So that same day i had an interview and it was quite cool because we were given scenarios (oh, yeah it was a group interview! totally freaked out at first, but it was fun) like you have £40 you need to buy a gift for a specific person, go pick an outfit or a suitable present - OR - a member of staff would pick an item, (pink leggings) and we had to provide possible combinations, whilst of course explaining our choices, which was quite easy for me, because thats exactly what i like, styling!! So I had fun with that, freaking out wasn't even in my mind, plus my team mates were pretty awesome too.

Well it is really late and i've got places to be in the morning so i'm going to hit the sack.

Le film a été Spectaculaire!

(The film was spectacular)

As soon as i heard that they were making this film I felt the urge to do my own research on Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel, just so that i wouldn't be too lost in the movie. Yes the information i found was interesting and useful but the film seemed to capture everything in its own right. My research kinda, wasnt necissary.

Screen 3, was where my film was showing yesterday and as my friend fianna and i walked up the stairs, we realized that there were only about 8 other people there and all above the age of 40 (at least) and it made me wonder what kind of film it was going to be, because i expected a significant amount of younger people to be interested in such a story.

Well as it began, i don't think my friend fianna new there were subtitles, not that it made a difference, but it was funny to see her initial reaction.

Thoughout the film there was a sence of fluency, i never questioned a situation with my misunderstanding. It was just fantastic.

A real-must see, even for those who might not see fashion as a big part of their life.

It really caught me of guard when a certain event happened, and it definitely saddened me and that theme carried on to the end, even though thats when the major fashion started.

Thats what i wore today, before i went to the gym in the evening, which was intense, i started a new class "Keiser cycling" craazy! but i love it, really fun.

Hey y'all!

So on friday i was in london for the day, because i had an interview at Blow PR. I was pretty excited considering it was for London Fashion Week! I know!!!!

Well it was at 3:45 so i had loads of time before, so i took a trip down to the Vogue House, I was there for about an hour talking about everything from Tatler magazine (which i never really took an interest in) all the way to my interview.

Probably just what i needed, i wasn't nervous for the interview at all, the people there totally helped!

Ah! By the way, did i mention i met/saw Erin O'Connor, the model.

Yeah she looked even better than i imagined, i did not get all starstruck and grab my camera, i merely smiled and said hi, then went back to looking busy. :)

As she sat on the red chairs waiting to be called up to meet with Alexandra Shulman, her and (who i could only think was her) agent, were like 2 little school girls, just laughing and putting on voices and just having a good time and i had obviously never seen that side to her, and it was really cool to know that she was so down to earth and not to serious to have a good time.

Anyway i left the vogue house shortly after to head to my interview, I arrived just under 15 minutes early, as i rung the buzzer i felt an immediate shot of adrenaline run through, i was genuinely excited and ready to impress.

So as i walked down to the basement, i kept going over the designers that they represent, who are showing at LFW in my head (Basso & Brooke, Ashish, Bora Aksu and Aminaka & Wilmont), before i turned the corner to the office i stumbled upon this cool dress that they put at the entrance, almost as a welcome / introduction to who they are and what they do.

As i approached the desk, i was greeted by Ella, who then took me into the meeting room for the interview, literally straight away, i was impressed, cause that never happens with jobs!

We talked for a little while, and she seemed really impressed then basically thought i was perfect for the internship, plus she thought i was mature for my age, don't act too shocked :)

So she was just confirming that I was at school and my age, when she didn't realize that i was 17.

yup.

She said cause its fashion week, some of the venues will have alcohol and there are a whole other list of issues that just stop me from being able to work with them because i am not legally 18 yet.

I was totally shocked! totally devastated, but she made it clear that as soon as i turned 18, i should come back. The thing that I'm most annoyed about is that, i was really counting on going to LFW this year, PLUS i sent her my C.V in advance but she still didn't know i was 17.

Nonetheless, great experience, and really nice to know that i am good enough for this industry. Thus far.

So as i left with my head held high, looking on the brightside of things, i waited to i left the building to give my mum a call, tell her what went down then i called my good friend Fianna and we just spoke for a while, whilst i sat in Pret on Goodge Street.

As time passed, i decided to walk to the bus stop and wait then get the train to Euston and meet my mum, but instead, she just came walking down Tottenham court road and met me, we quickly popped into habitat then off home we went .

It was a good day and great experience.

Definitely glad i spent my £13 or so on my ticket!!!

So I was just thinking to myself today, do I have any particular designers that I prefer and I came to a nice petit list -
Diane Von Furstenberg = always fun, colourful amazing prints, who wouldn’t really love her.
Matthew Williamson = again with the colour, and right now I just can’t get the image of his bright shiny magenta suit (from NYC/Spring 09), out of my head! So amazing.

Erdem = Well I think flowers, immediately! Bad I know, because he designed so much more. His lines are always full of cute dresses with amazing colour. Also I liked how he mimicked the nice designs from the dresses and printed them onto the shoes (London/Fall 2009)

Chloe = It’s all in that picture really.

Balenciaga = I’m gonna throw an oxymoron at you... Modern Classic clothing. If I could have only been there to see Balenciaga’s Fall 09 catwalk in Paris, *sighs*. Those layered skirts, dresses, trousers! All pulled up to a particular point where they were then draped from. Just impressive, it really is.Finally 3.1 Philip Lim = He’s probably the one on my list that the least amount of my friends now. He just doesn’t get enough credit for his work. This kind of work inspires me, he combines all different essences within his work, whether it be rock or vintage or pretty. He’s one of those designers I look at and think, this is exactly why I want to be in this industry. Just keep those garments coming.

So yesterday it was pretty hot and my dad thought we should do some outdoor stuff,

so we went raspberry picking, (only cause strawberries are out of season- we just missed them!!)

we went driving all over the place, we reached the end of the MK border, which was cool, we passed all these super cute villages.

hmm.

Today we went to the gym and played a little tennis, I don't suck half as much as i thought i did, so that was nice to find out.

I didn't know what to wear so i ended up wearing my craaazy grey baggy harem-like trousers from Urban Outfitters then a normal cranberry t-shirt from Gap.

Whilst everyone else was in full tennis gear, i was dressed, well, like that.

Kind of hilarious.

About to catch up on my true blood's (on episode 2 from season 2) and tomorrow will be my final OXFAM

volunteer date for a while, since i have finished my course.

so i've been a little ill, but its all good and i'm all good, but thats just the reason i haven't been blogging.!

I have officially finished school, gosh! i cant wait to show you guys my super messy hand written to-do list for this summer, its pretty darn long, i can tell you that.

NEW OBSESSION ALERT!

True Blood, the programme, totally captivating. I just saw it there on sky anytime and loved it and have just carried on watching it online.

crazy stuff.

So you know i've got those pink headphones, well recently ive noticed just how much i dont really like them, they're a little uncomfortable and i havent had them that long either, amazing condition so i thoguht i might sell them on eBay and buy these instead.

They look a hell of a lot more comfortable and since i'll be in florida next month i'll just get them whilst in the U.S. :)

Ohh yeah, im going to florida, hehe!
I think it'll be pretty fun, i havent been there in years, so yeah.

Well i'm gonna get back to True Blood, if your interested in watching on TV, in the UK that is, its on Fridays at 10pm i think on FX, btw it can get a little too much for me, and i even have to close my eyes, some uncomfortable scenes to say the least, but all in all, its a great idea for a show, bridging on twilight, but not. Ignore that last bit, made no sense whatsoever!

Some badish news, i have an audition on sunday for a city wide talent show, but i can't go because i have church and they CLASH!!

I wanna go to church but i wanna go to the audition, but i figured there'll be more auditions right??

Today in art i needed to take first hand pictures to support my chosen fashion illustrators and i chose a guy called Arturo Elena and he really elongates the female body so, tell me what you think of my interpretations, BTW, the dress was made in like seconds, fabric is crazy adaptable, plus my friend Roisin, is just amazing :)

i totally forgot to tell you that i bought myself a lunchbox for school.

I just figured since I'm packed lunch and hate putting the food in my actual school bag!

so on my ventures in Newport Pagnell on Saturday i bought this cute little thing, and over the past couple of days it has turned into my totally trustworthy super dandy picnic lunch box!

(but i haven't had a picnic yet, so guys stop saying that at school! jeez :)! )

Furthermore, i've been working really hard recently, so i thought id buy myself a game on iTunes (i know, silly excuse considering i buy games all the time, BUT STILL)

So i love TAP TAP REVENGE, as most people do, i decided to by the Lady GaGa version and it is whimsical pop culture all the way !!

So i got twitter today, hmm well literally an hour ago or so.

Im trying to add or "follow" but its not looking like its working so i'll check it out

I've got the day off tomorrow so should be super blog entry !

So i watched "Bonfire of The Vanity" (first time) and "Fame" (again!!!) yesterday, and they were soo cool!!

i forgot how much i loved the fame soundtrack, so for the last 24 hours its been "i sing the body electric, dogs in the yard and out here on my own." Strangely enough i haven't been listening to much of the actual song fame, guess its cause i know it TOO well, you know?

As for BoTV, it was pretty good. I really love Melanie Griffith in those days, i mean "Working girl" was really kind of inspiring. Anyway, i liked Bruce Willis' character, hmm Tom Hank's one was a little annoying, he did get entertaining when he got his hands on a gun though :)

Boy, oh, boy, oh, boy.

Busy much. I had one of the best days ever, to be honest, this week has been one of my best.

Anyway i'll just get to it, yes?

In the morning I hopped on the central line to find the Oxfam Boutique in Notting Hill, got greeted by some friendly green peace dude, then had a cool hour or so, rummaging though antiquities and such.

Moving on I then ended up on Cromwell Street at the V&A, because I really wanted to go and see the new collection from some of the Royal College of Art students, they were great.

Never realized how beautiful the actual building was, the whole place is pretty magical.

both by Katie Eary. "play twist on tradition, brass & door locks" you can't see the whole first outfit, but it was a top literally full of door locks, physical ones!! super unique. The further one, was all sparkly with Swarovski Crystals in a leopard print, kind of pattern. Again, super unique, and just awesome really.

So next stop was Somerset house, but I was hungry and found myself in Knightsbridge and so I thought Patisserie Valerie, here I come :)

Did i mention how fantasically nice the waitors are there, i know, i know, its there job and whatever but still, definatly "mention" worthy!

I had a diet coke and an apple and cinnamon pastry. super nice.

So after passing harrods, i got in the underground and got to Covant Garden and walked to the strand.

i could have gone to Temple but i wanted the walk!!

Got there, it was huge, (i'd never been before) and lovely, i posted pictures on my flickr!

Moving on, here was the complicated bit, i was trying to get to Farringdon, but got lost and walked from temple to embankment then to charring cross then to trafalger square, my feet really hurt! But i got there in the end, and where was i going, you ask?

To an Alexander McQueen sample sale. yes, my very first sample sale, oh the magic, oh the craziness, oh the people shoving to get what they want. Though, I'm gonna totally go against everything i just said and say that the atmosphere was VERY! relaxed and cool.

Nopes, i did not buy anything, i honestly didn't see anything that struck me, that was less than £150, so yeah.

Definitely next time!

The floor where the windows are open, thats where the clothes were.

BTW i got a little lost so i had to get a black cab, which took me right to the door step, perfect really :)

Also as i was collecting my bag at the exit, i had a mini conversation with the lady about my milkshake flavoured spray. yumm. it is good stuff!

oh when i left, it got worse. I couldn't find the Clerkenwell station or the farringdon one for that matter, so i just kept walking and found my bus the 153, oh the bus i know well!

So i ended up in, i guess you could say, my home town, Angel!!

So it was all good, bought myself a frappachino cause it was closing of 4 and really really hot, plus it gave me an excuse to use my Starbucks card for the first time!

walked around a few little cool boutiques near Camden passage and decided no more underground and finally took a bus to Euston, where i waited for my super awesome family and we headed home.

oh and to end it, the guy next to me on the train, just started drinking beer, i was like huh? can you even do that? haha

He didn't seem fazed, so i just get reading my Weisbeger.

Well I'm back at Oxfam tomorrow, cause i hadn't been there for the past two weeks cause i had exams, but they finished late last week, so it's all good.

Right.

So on thursday i went to thorpe park with my family.

it was all quite last minute, but totally awesome!

We left really early, as you do and got alot done with hardly any waiting PLUS

the weather was awesome. so it was a cool day plus i bought a bucket of sweets ;)

Got home quite early too! Like 4ish, so i had time to relax and read!

So i had quite a busy day today.

Started at leaving Milton Keynes for a business university taster course which happened to be at middlesex university, which has a cool quadrant area, so i was looking forward to seeing that, and was not disappointed.

Overall the lectures seemed cool, but I'm still sticking with my top 5 choices.

Moving on, i had loads of time before my train time and so i thought where have i never been, but should go. Brick lane and then Beyond Retro.

ALSO i stumbled across someunique fashionista's. Yes, i know that makes no sence, cause all fashionista's are, but these people were, on top of being stylish, very friendly and nice!!

So my last exam is on Thursday and then OMG greatness!

Let me tell you what's going on..

1. Finalized 2 internships for the summer, one at a publishing company and the other at a marketing firm.

2. Went onto Jotta, and am thinking of applying to a number of jobs!

3. Finish all the Lauren Weisberger books :)

4. Write up my business plan for my new venture, that i yet to unveil to you yet :)

5. Write some new songs, it's been a while.

6. Apply for my local talent show.

I think there's more, but I'm actually filling out the talent form out now, so slightly distracted !

So, worked my usual at Oxfam today! Was awesome to find out that my window displays had been taken down because somebody bought them!! woo :)

that felt cool, did more steam work etc. Was a cool session!

And i bought this cool little suitcase for 99p! its nice, i'll show pictures later..

Moving on , I've started to watch this show called "Running In Heels" its about three Marie Claire magazine interns. It's actually pretty cool, i have a favourite,.. Samantha! Think she'll get the job, but the others may grow so anythings possible!

It was interesting to see the new fashion editor Nina Garcia, come into the picture, who was previously at Elle, well I'm pretty sure she was!

Now I'm trying to quickly plan my birthday and decorate my bedroom! Also i got this all new idea for Oxfam, i won't say anything yet, you know, copyright issues and stuff!

But i will at a later date :)

So i read up to scene 10 in a street car named desire, it's getting pretty intense!

this was whilst i was on the train listening to Danity Kane and getting stares from people probably because my music was too loud, but it's only loud when my headphones are off so i didn't know..

yes, i was on the train going to watch SPRING AWAKENING!

right, it was overall pretty awesome.

All the male performers were perfect, Moritz's voice could have been better but his acting clouded my judgement cause it was so good.

The girls, Wendela, i just wasn't feeling at all! i dunno, i didn't like her much, her voice was alright though.

The rest of the girls i loved though :) esp. Martha and Ilsa (not sure if that's how to spell it..)

Overall 8/10

which isn't too bad.

for sure, I'd watch it again...

SO i tried to get a picture of the stage and the women got all "you cant take pictures, copyright, blah blah" but i got one and i got of the actual novello theatre :)

(as above, all unedited..)

but the outfits, the SET design - amazing! I'm talking moving chairs across walls, rocking grounds, loads of hanging light bulbs, you name it! awesome lighting!

So was my day in a Nutshell, i spent some money on food, and when i say food i mean a mini haagen-daaz ice-cream and a mini innocent smoothie both came to about £6.

Yeah yeah, the theatre life ain't cheap :)

So todays been cool, i went to go see Paul Blart: Mall Cop, defiantly funny, super stupid but i liked it.

Now I'm catching up on my heroes, i've missed like 10 episodes :O

Tomorrow is SPRING AWAKENING!!! at the Novello, its gonna be amazing, i

literally can't wait.

I have this love for the cinema and theatre, i think its the way when the lights go out you can sense the atmosphere is so exciting, though its quiet and calm, the anticipation of what's coming, its intense!

Especially in the theatre, when those people come on stage and its a crazy amazing performance or just story, the magic just sweeps you away, you feel like you can do anything, if it's really good, you leave the theatre determined to do whatever it is you want to.

Did i mention I'm auditioning for the X-Factor, yeah.

6th of May. :)

But the point is I'm super stoked for tomorrow! the music is incredible so go buy the Spring Awakening Soundtrack if you already don't have it, i got mine from amazon! good price.

So my birthday is in less than a month, i gotta figure out if i want a party and if so what i want and quick, whilst revising for my majorly serious exams coming up!!

So, I'm at the city centre, sitting around doing nothing, was meant to be watching Paul boart mall cop, which looks silly funny, but I missed it! More like the bus didn't show. Darn that bus. So what to buy? I've got a little money on me, we shall see.

So it's half-term.

Two weeks filled with revision, work, theatre trips, online magazine internship and university open days, oo and a first aid course with my Oxfam volunteer group :)

Should be busy, challenging and fun!

Sorry for the couple day-break! had some things that took a lot of my time!

Now all work is finished for this term! :)

SO yesterday i cooked penne con salsicca piccante with some bacon pieces.

yumm.

I was pretty impressed with myself.

Now the end of term is here, and i have a university fair tomorrow, that should be fun and full of interesting helpful stuff.

So I'm looking for some new applications for my iphone, if anyone has any suggestions please say :)

So i was pretty happy to figure out that the iphone had an application that

can post entry's onto my blog!!

but it seems to have some time, issues.

Whatever, we shall see if it continues...

So today was my oxfam shift, pretty ordinary.

But I'm ready to make that place awesome.

all it ever needed was a touch of Abi :)

Another thing, they have ton's of chocolate, its crazy!

Personally I'm not all that crazy about chocolate, so its all good.

But jeez!

There were some nice clothes too, i'll be sure to take pictures etc... next week,

when I'm more settled in.
